Its kinda strange
My friends won't act their age
They try too hard
New clothes and Sports cars.

But I say
Forty Seven is not so old
Your Midlife crisis has not yet taken hold
Why not buy a Mazda 5
the hi-performance family drive

You know I'm happy
In this middle age
I like the security,
Its not a gilded cage

Cos you know
A midlife crisis is just about
Getting older and having doubts
Thirty years of nine to five
Pension plan and a job for life

So . . .
There’s lots of ways
To make sure you’re free
Stay off the sofa
Dont just drink beer and watch TV

Its quite plain
If your midlife crisis makes you fat
Go to a gym its as plain as that
Buy some Lycra, lift some weights
Don’t eat pizza you’ll soon look great

Anyway . . .
I dont need to change
And I don't know how
I said: I dont want a makeover
You can’t change me now

But I know
If my midlife crisis comes on hard
I'll just buy a more powerful car
Get some clothes with artful tears
Get some wax to put in my hair

OK . . .
There are many things
I'd like to try
Gliding or suba diving
Before I die.

Just believe . . .
Forty Seven is not too old
Your Midlife crisis has not yet taken hold
Do anything you want to do
Its not too late, its up to you
