Where, why, who what. Whatever, we say.

UPDATE January 2009: We envisage a busy 2009. Particularly in January, February, March, May, June, July, September, October and December. April we have a bad feeling about. Expect more European collaborations.

UPDATE December 2008: Nothing to report in December. Nothing at all. Except a few songs generally being worked on, but both band members admitting exhaustion after a year that yielded in excess of 100 tracks and songs. By Mid-November.

We have nothing much in progress apart from a predictably daft 8 track prog-rock epic "Earth: the world planet" Ian's series of meandering "love songs" and some more agressive collaborations with unsuspecting international collaborators. Oh! And some acoustic gigs - "Set the music free" played to a paying audience. Sweet!

UPDATE November 2008: A dissappointing October output caused by a secret collaboration with a couple of foxy Belgian remixers, is being sharply rectified with both Ian and Neil working into the night, well at least 7pm,  to create more tunes, more songs, better mixes, for our fans.  The musical instrument proliferation has abated slightly, after a  pact signed on Armistace Day, brokered by the UN. Now we just sneak the instruments home and tell no-one. Ian currently hiding the purchases of a new guitar and amp behind the flimsy excuse that his second son is now learning to play.

UPDATE October 2008: The band's natural competitive nature has created a situation similar to the nuclear proliferation between the superpowers of the 1960's - every new purchase of  a new bit of kit by Ian, has led to a massive retaliation by ROLF Towers Bristol. So Ian's purchase of a new version of Garageband, was neatly trumped by an immediate purchase of an brand new imac, and a fully registered version of Logic. And that's the Pro version too. Ian's purchase of an audio input, was immediately followed by a host of effects pedals and a new mic. Will it lead to any improvements in what we produce, we wonder? Expect a new version of 'Gear I hid" up soon.

UPDATE September 2008: Welcome back to two past collaborators, Rob Kitson and Richard "Axe" Asquith, who both resurfaced in August, surprisingly keen to work with us. New songs and new collaborations in the next few months. Ian reportedly  "unconcerned" about being relegated to second best guitarist in the ROLC universe.

UPDATE August 2008: We're delighted to announce our latest venture, a collaboration with  Hertfordshire's own Estlin's Recordings, who have signed us as roster-filler for their new recording operation. From now on all ROLC music will be available on carrying the familiar but slightly depressing chocolate brown livery of Estlin's Recordings. They've asked us not to undercut them by opening a web shop, so watch this space.

UPDATE July 2008: New instruments, new vocal styles coming soon. While we feverishly await the arrival of the new Hapi Drum and the final development of Ian's latest vocal stylings, we've quickly knocked up an Igil, from two old strings from a tennis racket and the replacement bumper from Ian's 1982 mini to fill out our sound further. Watch this space as we add more instruments.

UPDATE June 2008: We've signed an agreement with the Clutton Vintage Voices, a mature female choir, to provide feminine accompaniment to our music from now on. Sometimes known as 'The Golden Hummers', CVV will be adding harmonies, whoops, and occasional lead vocals on ROLC tracks from now on. Watch out for their unique vocal stylings on our latest tracks.

UPDATE May 2008: I sure you'll all join me to bid a big ROLC-style welcome to the latest addition to our band. We've been looking for a while for another synth player to fill our sound out, and take us to places we've never been before. So hello to our new keyboard wizard, Ian Middleton. Now officially the second-best keyboard player in the band. Expect new and complex inter-band disputes and rivalries as he pits his $49 USB keyboard against the power and majesty of the mighty Korg ($2850) maestro. Its not how big it is, we always say. New tracks coming soon.

UPDATE April 2008: New track selection now on the jukebox. After 2 months of ferocious debate about our top 20 tracks and endless bickering, here is a selection of songs from 2007 and 2008, with a top 10 and top 20 selection. Sadly, some classics will have been lost during the process, so we'll just have to make some more.
